White waterfalls of the Falls of Clyde

Winter is one of the best times to experience the Scottish countryside, so why not take a romantic riverside wander to see the beautiful white waterfalls.

There are a number of magnificent falls throughout Scotland, and the rushing white waters of the Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve are no exception.

Marvel at Corra Linn, a 27-metre cascade waterfall, which has been immortalised by William Wordsworth as 'the Clyde's most majestic daughter' and is well worth the walk during winter when in full spate.

This area is popular with walkers and is renowned for its tranquil beauty and wildlife spotting opportunities.

Look out for seasonal flowers and woodland animals, as well as woodpeckers, along the river edge.

Visit the four-star interactive visitor centre - within the World Heritage Site of New Lanark - and learn more about the waterfalls, woodlands and wildlife around the Falls of Clyde.
