Visit the spectacular white Blair Castle
Visit the spectacular white Blair Castle which dates back more
than 700 years and its breathtaking surroundings.
This wonderful white castle was one of the first private homes
to open to the public in Scotland showing its extensive collections
and beautiful white exterior.
The ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, this is
Scotland’s most visited historic house and is home to Europe’s only
remaining private army - the Atholl Highlanders.
Visitors can take the 30-room castle tour at any time of year,
where a treasure trove of armoury and artefacts owned by previous
occupants can be found.
Discover an impressive ballroom bedecked with 175 pairs of
antlers, the superb China Room, which holds a display of more than
1700 individual pieces, and an ornamental armoury which includes
muskets used at the Battle of Culloden.
Explore the grounds surrounding Blair Castle, which boasts
various beautiful 18th century gardens. The wider grounds of Atholl
Estate meanwhile contain way-marked paths, which are ideal for a
winter stroll.
