Scottish Snowdrop Festival
The Scottish Snowdrop Festival, is back by popular demand showcasing once again, some of the very best snowdrop gardens, woodlands and estates across Scotland, assisted by our partners Scotland's Gardens Scheme and the National Trust for Scotland. Between 1 February and 16th March 2008, visit our enchanting snowdrop with a brisk walk through the crisp Scottish Winter White countryside. Wrap up warm in luxurious white cashmere and relish the spectacular views of Scotland's sparkling Winter White wonderland. Choose one white lump of sugar or two before treating yourself to scrumptious home baked teas in Scotland's oldest country houses, stately homes and estates, some of which are open exclusively for the Scottish Snowdrop Festival. Admire white stone statues, spot a white crested tit or simply tiptoe through carpets of white snowdrops. Have a look at our map below to find out where snowdrops are located.

Wish upon a white shooting star in the clear night sky of winter at our Dark Sky stargazing events taking place exclusively in three specially selected snowdrop gardens.Treat you and your family to an enchanting afternoon of astrofun combining 90 minutes of indoor and outdoor activities for young and old, including Starlab planetarium shows, comet making, rocket launching and rocks from space. Or join us for an energizing event of stargazing and astrofun: a chance to cosy up with a loved one, uncover the mysteries of the night sky or enjoy a more unusual evening of entertainment with family or friends. Events are taking place on Saturday 2 Feb at Cambo House, St Andrews; Sat 16 Feb at Castle Kennedy & Gardens; Sat 15 March at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
